What is the KAAPS Compliance Accreditation?
The Korean Association for Anesthesia Patient Safety focuses on small- and medium-sized medical clinics and institutions that perform surgery, and offers education on medical strategies vital to anesthesia safety. It emphasizes the importance of anesthesia specialists, in accordance with World Health Organization (WHO) standards, as well as anesthesia equipment and medications.
The Association assesses whether medical institutions are properly equipped with and capable of operating these components, and grants accreditation to those that meet anesthesia patient safety standards.
Furthermore, by actively promoting accredited medical institutions that meet anesthesia patient safety standards, patients choose facilities that prioritize anesthesia safety for their surgical procedures.
